A rare engraving depicting the Aboriginal Chiefs in an unusual (if not classical) pose. Approximately 32cms x 22cms with a strong plate impression – in good condition. Framed external dimensions 52cms x 32cms in a cream mat and simple burr wood frame. A fine item of some historical significence.

Dr Sherrington FRS was the Holt Professor of Physiology at the University of Liverpool – this book originally published in the USA in 1906 followed a series of lectures at Yale and in itself is a landmark publication regarding the development of understanding the central nervous system.
