Pierrepont Noyes (1870-1959) was born into a small Utopian cult the “Oneida”. He was a product of selective breeding which would have been an influence in the writing of this unusual book.

Classic 1920’s science fiction. Commencing with the 1919 Paris Peace Conference [Noyes believed the harsh penalties handed out would lead to more war]. Pallid Giant foresees weapons on mass destruction, WW II and to an extent the Cold War. Two survivors mate with sub-humans to produce a new modern man.

The book was reissued after Hiroshima re-titled “Gentlemen- You are Mad”
